What is it and how does it work?
Vision therapy is a non-surgical treatment program that aides in improving individual’s vision that is experiencing visual impairment. Visual impairment can be caused by a birth condition, disease, or injury to the face from extreme force. For individuals that have endured any of the latter cases, this is an amazing program that individuals should use as soon as possible.

There are a variety of common visual problems that our patients have including (but not limited to) double vision, crossed eyes, low vision, lazy eye, reading/learning disabilities, and convergence insufficiency. Our specialists will properly assess your situation and provide the necessary treatment method that is best for you. Once the proper method is chosen, our specialists will conduct the treatments in-office during weekly sessions. Within those weekly sessions, we will also provide procedures that you can complete at home as well.

Vision therapy involves improving visual efficiency, comfort, and ease to patients that need it. You can also expect to receive improvements with fundamental abilities/vision skills and/or how you process visual information.

What is behavioral vision therapy?
Behavioral vision therapy (also known as developmental optometry) is another form of vision therapy that is non-surgical and focuses on improving the strength of an individual’s vision. This type of therapy provides individuals with exercises and education that can improve/enhance their vision in a behavioral manner.

For example, when you work with one of our specialists, they will assess the current way you process information with your vision. Once a proper diagnosis is made, you will be provided with the necessary treatment in order to improve your vision and how you process visual information on a daily basis.

Visual processing & perception therapy
Visual processing & perception therapy is another form of vision therapy that our team specializes in. Typically this is something that child experiences. We assess the current case that your child has (including eye coordination issues, visual processing issues, and their weaknesses).
